How do I choose the right program for me?
We consider that our service starts with you well before your arrival and that clarifying your needs and preferences in advance will ensure that your stay is smooth and relaxing in all respects. As such we offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation with one of our retreat advisers as to answer any questions you may have and to ensure all aspects of the program fit your requirements.
What makes Samadhi different from other wellness retreats?

Our brand offering focuses on the bespoke nature of your experience.  Guests who frequent Samadhi Retreat come for a more private experience nestled within a nature based environment. Retreating this way, allows you to immerse yourself fully into the process of reconnecting with yourself.

How do I secure a booking?
A quote is always sent for your approval. Once you have decided on the program of choice, we will confirm your booking requirements by email before payment is due. Full payment is required to secure dates.
Can we hold a booking without payment?
Unfortunately this is not possible due to the bespoke small nature of our business.
Should I take travel insurance?

Comprehensive travel insurance prior to arrival is strongly recommended for both medical and cancellation coverage in the case of unavoidable emergencies that may result in the cancellation of a your stay. We strongly suggest choosing a policy that will cover sickness or unpredictable circumstances that may require you to change your plans. Even if you live locally and are driving to the retreat please remember that you are booking a complete holiday package that is non-refundable and non-transferable should an unplanned situation arise.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare for my stay?

To make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible, we have a few suggestions:

* Practical, functional and comfortable clothing

* Favorite pillow (we have plenty here as well)

* A small carry pack/backpack, drink bottle and comfortable shoes for walks

* Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, jacket for cooler days and swimmers if you choose to swim or bathe locally.

* Personal items

* In winter bring a warm jacket, warm layers, a beanie and gloves and a light rain jacket.

* Any essential prescription medication

 

We also provide during your stay in-house gown and slippers and basic amenities

Do I need to pre-book my wellness?

It is always helpful if guests can pre-book additional treatments and programs as this assists us with scheduling and guarantees that the treatments will be available to you at your requested times. It is not a problem if you choose to book the treatments on arrival (however they may not be guaranteed), but always helpful if we can have this information prior to your stay. (Please note: Some therapies and specialty treatments are exclusive to certain therapists and as such may have limited availability. For this reason we highly recommend guests book in advance prior to commencing a stay)

Can I change my program on arrival?

During the consultation stage of making a booking we consult via both email and phone to endeavour to design the most suitably tailored retreat option to suit your personal requirements. The confirmation of a booking often involves us ensuring highly specialised practitioners and a tailored menu plan. As such, much pre planning has gone into preparing for a stay prior to your arrival.

Last minute changes are generally not possible due to the boutique nature of our services, however we always do our utmost to assist where we can to improve the immersive quality of the retreat experience.

What if I have special health concerns or particular goals? Should I advise in advance?

Samadhi Retreat is not a medical facility and therefore we can only provide limited support during a stay. We are also not a clinical mental health facility or private rehabilitation clinic. If you
have a serious  and ongoing health condition we highly recommend you
seek advise from your medical doctor.

 

We ask that you advise us of any known health concerns that may impact your program upon booking prior to arrival.

Do I need to disclose any addictions on booking?

Yes, Samadhi Retreat is not a drug or alcohol rehabilitation centre and it is essential to determine if Samadhi is the right place to assist you with particular areas of lifestyle management or change.  Any undisclosed information, such as illegal drug use will result in cancellation of a booking without refund. COVID-19

These are different times and we appreciate guest understanding in these matters.

You will be required to:

  1. Wear masks as per the current Government guidelines on arrival.
  2. Be conscious of social distancing when interacting with staff at the retreat. We will be very mindful of this as part of your stay
  3. We have RAT tests available onsite if required.
  4. Ensure you have not been in contact with anyone testing positive recently

If during a stay you feel unwell it is required that you respond to this asap and advise us of any symptoms you feel.

If you find yourself experiencing COVID 19 symptoms during your stay please advise us as we would need to take steps towards helping you to seek help asap. There is a thermometer provided in your retreat to allow you to self monitor your temperature on a daily basis.

You should not attend the retreat if you have any symptoms.

What happens if I have to cancel my booking because of COVID-19?

Our cancellation policy applies for COVID-19 related changes. We strongly suggest choosing a travel insurance policy that will cover sickness and/or unpredictable circumstances that may require you to change your plans.

DETOX

Do I need to prepare myself in any kind of way for the Detox prior to my arrival at Samadhi?
While not absolutely necessary, you will maximise your detox benefits and reduce detox symptoms by reducing your intake of things like alcohol, coffee, meat, dairy, refined carbohydrates and processed foods and increasing the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, green tea, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes and water you will be preparing your body for the in-depth metabolic and cellular detoxification process.
Do you offer juice / water fasts?

No, Samadhi’s  detox approach brings together holistic healing traditions with the more scientific bio-chemical western examination of how things work. In our detox philosophy guests do not fast. Instead, we nourish and nurture your body through a gentle detoxification process. Our cuisine is designed to provide essential nutrition for detoxification. The aim is to increase cellular metabolism, minimize toxic intake, reduce inflammation and improve digestive and general organ function.

Do you offer yoga?

Do you offer yoga?

Yes we offer private yoga practice and tuition. Hatha yoga classic, hatha flow, postural and yoga nidra. All yoga sessions are one on one and by appointment.


Can changes be made to my wellness program?

Your program will be scheduled prior to your arrival with some minor adjustments made during your wellness consultation at the beginning of your stay. Due to the tight timelines of our services it is not always possible to make changes to scheduled treatments.

  • Cancelled treatments cannot be redeemed for food and beverage, accommodation, other therapies and onsite purchases.
  • Above conditions apply equally in the case of a contra-indications whereby Samadhi’s wellness practitioners advise against a certain treatment or service included in a wellness package.

GETTING HERE

Where is Samadhi located?

The retreat is located in the Macedon Ranges, an hours drive from Melbourne airport. We are situated 10 minutes drive from Daylesford in the small township of Glenlyon in regional Victoria.

How can I get to Samadhi?

You can drive directly here which conveniently allows you to explore the region which has many shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries, beautiful gardens & lakes, waterfalls and many walking tracks, alternatively:

  • Private Limo services or Helicopter transfers can be organised. (Subject to availability)
  • Train from Melbourne to Malmsbury – Samadhi transfer to and from the station (Subject to availability)
  • Train from Melbourne to Kyneton – taxi from Kyneton to Samadhi Retreat
  • From Melbourne airport – hire car, airport transfer to Malmsbury with Samadhi transfer from bus stop or limo / helicopter transfers as required.

What is your check-in and check-out time?

What facilities do you provide in the accommodation?

All of our accommodation is beautifully appointed and includes split cycle air-conditioning, separate luxurious king beds, spacious living areas, separate kitchenette, separate bathrooms, decks and private outdoor garden views with day lounges & chairs, refrigerator, flat screen tv’s, /dvd selections, healthy snacks (complimentary mini bar items), energised water, complimentary hi speed WIFI, hair dryer, bathrobes & slippers, yoga mats, blankets and pillows.

Do you offer in-room internet connection?

Complimentary high speed Wi-Fi is available in all retreats to access with any of your devices.

What is the CANCELLATION POLICY

The following cancellation fees apply to bookings inclusive of accommodation and treatment therapies:

  • Payments will be refunded, if cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to check in date
  • Less than 30 days and more than 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit the 50% of the total booking; and
  • 7 days or less – will forfeit 100% of the total tariff.
  • Changes to bookings incur an administration fee of $50 in addition to any cancellation fee.
  • Late check-ins, early check-outs, and no-shows will initiate liability for the full amount of the tariff.
  • No-shows and early departures are deemed cancellations within this policy.
    Late arrival, no-shows or cancellation of any treatments from the spa menu shall incur the full cost.
  • With COVID – 19 related changes we offer alternative dates as required.
  • Any refunds will be processed 30 days from written requests

*Please note that cancellation fees are necessary to compensate the provider for the holding of a reservation in good faith, and the consequent refusal of subsequent booking requests. This cancellation policy is equitably applied in fairness to all, irrespective of the nature of the cause of the cancellation.

CUISINE AND DINING

What if I have special dietary preferences and needs?
Samadhi can assist with a variety of dietary needs. Please discuss your dietary needs with a retreat advisor at the time of reservation. We serve fresh local and organic produce, and much is harvested from our own kitchen garden onsite. We take every care to ensure nuts and other produce that cause anaphylactic response are omitted as per guest requests, however we cannot guarantee our kitchen zone is completely free from those food.
Do you serve meat or is it just vegetarian and fish?

Yes, we have a variety of lamb and poultry dishes available, as not all guests are here for detoxification. We however do not serve pork and beef.

Do you cater to a nut free diet?

Nut allergies need to be communicated prior to securing a booking as we cannot guarantee there will be no nut traces in our menu. We cannot cater to severe nut allergies.

GENERAL

Gift Certificate T'S & C's
  • Gift Certificates are subject to availability and blackout periods.

  • Retreat Package prices are subject to change without notice by Samadhi Retreat. Any difference in package prices in relation to the Gift Voucher value (at the time of redemption), is due on arrival.

  • Gift Certificates will not be refunded or exchanged.

  • Gift Certificates are for one use only and must be used in full. No credit or change will be given on the unused portion of the Certificate.

  • Gift Certificates may not be redeemed for cash or transferred to another product.

  • Gift Certificates cannot be purchased for promotions, competitions, or give-aways without prior written consent of Samadhi Retreat management.

  • Gift Certificates are valid until date indicated on Certificate.

Gift Certificates need to be redeemed before the expiry date, as it will not be honoured once expired.

What are your general guidelines around time?

Breakfast is served between 8.30am – 9am
Scheduled programmed sessions either through the morning or later in the afternoon
Dinner is served to your retreat between 6 – 6.30pm

Do you allow children at Samadhi?

The facilities and services at Samadhi Retreat are designed for adults who seek the time, place and expertise to improve their wellbeing. Samadhi is not recommended for children and there are no child concessions available and no special child facilities or services offered. Our minimum age for guests is 16 years.

Is Samadhi a good place for someone travelling alone?

Yes, it’s an ideal place to come alone, and the perfect way to truly embrace a retreat and capture the essence of the Samadhi experience. In saying that, it is most commonly a wonderful place to bond  with a friend or your partner in a nurturing and supportive environment. Many guests visiting on their own  find the relaxed, informal and friendly environment safe and comfortable. Your hosts reside onsite so you are essentially not alone. Our team will make sure you are well looked after whether you choose a solitary retreat or the company of another.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, there are minimum stays on weekends of 2 nights though beyond this overnight stays are subject to availability. Most of our retreats are 3 or more nights.


The length of a stay depends on what outcome you are seeking. Generally we find a 3 or 4 night retreat is a perfect circuit break so you to absorb the positive influences of the Samadhi environment. This allows a restorative escape blending relaxation, delicious organic cuisine, walks movement therapies, and spa therapies to help boost your energy levels.

What about smoking and alcohol?

We have a deep respect for each person’s innate wisdom and don’t impose our beliefs on guests, preferring to offer guidance, encouragement and support.

Smoking – For safety reasons and out of consideration for other guests, we ask that you refrain from smoking in your retreat. Smoking is not permitted on the Samadhi grounds. You may smoke on the nature-strip outside the grounds. Please consider the comfort of others, and understand that if anyone is affected by your smoking, you may be asked to stop. No vaping or electric cigarettes.



Alcohol – We do not serve alcohol

Can I bring my laptop and mobile phone?

Yes, you can, however to promote a peaceful environment and in consideration of other guests, we insist that you only make or receive calls in the privacy of your own accommodation or in the carpark.

What sort of visitors do you get?

Our guests come from all walks of life, from countries across the globe. We are here for people that are looking to enhance their life experience, whether that is physically, spiritually, emotionally or any combination of the three. Where some wellness retreats pride themselves on being “exclusive’, at Samadhi we strive to be “inclusive’ by making the Samadhi experience accessible to as many as possible.

Are non-resident guests allowed to experience the wellness facilities?

Samadhi specialises in offering its guests results-oriented wellness programs designed to help you work on your individual wellness goals. It is therefore important that guests staying at Samadhi Retreat have convenient access to our facilities in order to fully benefit from the inclusions of their program. Non guests cannot access our wellness services.

Do you offer golf?

We do not offer golf though there are two golf greens nearby one in Hepburn Springs the other in Trentham.

Are non-resident guests allowed to visit residing guests?

All visitors to the retreat need to be confirmed with Samadhi office staff. For the consideration of guest health & safety, privacy and confidentiality visitors are strictly monitored.

What do I do if I have a concern during my retreat?

We have direct phone contact through our office number and mobile number provided on arrival in your compendium of information. During your stay you can easily speak with us about any matters of concern. If your matter of concern is of a personal nature we would be happy to work through any problem that may arise during your stay. You can also email us. We ask that a person advise us at their earliest convenience so that we may attend to any matter promptly.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept MasterCard, Visa, and direct debit.

Daylesford climate

Daylesford lies on 574m above sea level Daylesford’s climate is classified as warm and temperate. The rainfall in Daylesford is significant, with precipitation even during the driest month. The average annual temperature is 11.8 °C | 53.2 °F in Daylesford. Precipitation here is about 913 mm | 35.9 inch per year. We are situated on high ground and therefore have avoided any flooding from the current climate changes. 

Do you make special plans for holidays such as Christmas and the New Year?

We usually have special programming for these times, it’s best to contact us to discuss the possibilities.
